The Brad Furr Race Team is sticking to racing in California these days. Brad’s Big O Tires business just does not let him get away for more than a day at a time. Brad's 410 CID sprinter is 825+ horsepower and weighs about 1,100 pounds. His 360 CID sprinter is 720+ horsepower and weighs about 1,200 pounds. Both sprinters utilize Don Ott Engines and Eagle chassis and are supported by a cast of the best in the industry when it comes to racing components. Brad Furr is the driver and Kenny Thorp is the Crew Chief. The team is sponsored by "Big O Tires".


Driver

Brad began his racing career in 1992 racing micro-midgets in Northern California. Brad was born in 1976 in Midwest City, Oklahoma and has lived in California since 1986. He makes his home in Pleasanton, California. Brad's racing accomplishments include tying for total points for the 19th Annual Australian Speedweek Championship, finishing 3rd (from 21st starting position) in the Eldora King's Royal, finishing 3rd in Eldora's Historical Big One, winning the annual "Cheater's Day" race at Terra Haute, and finishing 5th in total points in the World Outlaws inaugural season for it's Gumout series. During the 2002 season, Brad spent the year racing with the World of Outlaws™ premier series finishing 8th in points. Brad has won multiple times on the World of Outlaw tour including events at Texas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Port Royal in Pennsylvania. Brad recently married Laurie, he is in the tire business with Big O Tires in San Jose, CA, and makes his home in Santa Clara, California.


Crew Chief

Kenny has been working with Brad Furr racing since the 2004 season and after Mike Harper move to North Carolina at the end of the 2006 race season to work in NASCAR, Kenny was appointed Crew Chief. Kenny has been around sprint cars for over 20 years and has worked with racers Any Hillenburg, Jeff Mauldin and Bud Smith at PBS and Kenny has even driven sprint cars in his career. Kenny makes his home in Tracy, California and enjoys his Harley in his spare time.
